Children's Memorial Hermann Hospital, enabled by the Memorial Hermann Information Exchange (MHiE) Image Gateway, offers referring physicians the ability to easily connect and exchange important health care information, such as ultrasound, fetal and pediatric ECHO, CT and MRI, related to the patients they jointly serve.

Viewing and Sharing Medical Images Fast and Securely

Through a simple online log-in process, the MHiE Image Gateway is a secure, encrypted electronic network utilized to exchange medical images between referring physicians and the clinical care team affiliated with Childrens Memorial Hermann Hospital. Today this is a free service for physicians.

The Image Gateway connects DICOM^® devices, including Picture Archiving & Communication System (PACS), to enable rapid image transfers and a secure PACS backup via cloud-based storage of medical images. It offers a level of data security not possible with a CD or VPN. You can also launch the Image Gateway from any device, on any Internet connection to take advantage of “cloud computing” technology - offering access anytime, anywhere.
