Taking the Fear Out of Fever

In partnership with Children's Memorial Hermann Hospital, Memorial Hermann Memorial City Medical Center presents the next session of Ask The Doctor - Educational Series for Parents.

Taking the Fear Out of Fever: A Primer for Parents on How to Deal with Children's Illnesses will be Saturday, Nov. 15, 2008, 10 - 11:30 a.m.

Presenters are Peter Jung, MD, and William Pielop, MD, of Blue Fish Pediatrics, both recognized by H Texas Magazine as two of the "Best Doctors in Houston."

Topics will include:

  • A simple but methodical approach to fever
  • How antibiotics work and when they are appropriate
  • The truth about cold medications
  • Complications of the common cold
  • Understand common misconceptions about pediatric illnesses
  • When to go to the emergency room

This event is free, but space is limited. Light refreshments will be provided.
