He also can offer information about "cough etiquette" and provide recommendations about when sick patients should call their physician or seek immediate medical attention at a hospital emergency room.
Brent King, MD, is chairman of the Department of Emergency Medicine at UT Medical School at Houston and provides emergency medical care to both children and adults at Children's Memorial Hermann Hospital and Memorial Hermann-TMC. He can provide information about swine flu, the hospital's plan for responding to this infectious disease and how to best protect children.
Luis Z. Ostrosky, MD, is associate professor of medicine and epidemiology in the Division of Infectious Diseases at UT Medical School at Houston. He also is medical director for epidemiology at Memorial Hermann-TMC. Ostrosky can discuss the infectious nature of swine flu and provide details on what patients can do to reduce their risk of becoming infected or spreading it to others.
