HOUSTON (September 04, 2018)

Memorial Hermann Sugar Land Hospital and Lamar Consolidated Independent School District (LCISD) have announced that Memorial Hermann Sugar Land will be the Official Healthcare Provider of LCISD Athletics for the next three years.

“We are proud of our partnership with Lamar Consolidated ISD and look forward to providing high-quality healthcare and sports medicine expertise to help student-athletes excel on the playing field and in the classroom for years to come,” said Malisha Patel, Sr. Vice President and CEO of Memorial Hermann Sugar Land Hospital.

As part of the partnership, Memorial Hermann Sugar Land will provide LCISD Athletics with:

  • Physician coverage at all home varsity football games
  • Designate a physician to each high school as the team physician
  • Provide sports physicals for all junior and senior high school athletes
  • Provide CPR and AED training for coaching staff
  • Provide concussion testing
  • Provide junior high school event coverage coordination with assistance from Memorial Hermann Outreach Athletic Training services
