PEARLAND, TEXAS (September 09, 2016)

In an effort to provide expectant mothers with the information they need before their baby arrives, Memorial Hermann Pearland Hospital is now offering a series of childbirth education classes on campus. The classes aim to provide new and experienced moms with important information on how to prepare for the newest member of their family.

Topics include preparing for childbirth, breast feeding, newborn care, infant CPR and safety, sibling class and maternity facility tours. The classes are a great resource for first time parents as well as experienced ones who may want to refresh their skills or pick up new ones.

“Our classes are open to anyone preparing for a new addition to their family,” says Jennifer Robert, RN, ICCE, IBCLC, Lactation Consultant and Perinatal Patient Education Specialist, Memorial Hermann Pearland. “We are proud to offer this comprehensive group of courses for parents and siblings to better serve our community. The infant CPR class, in particular, is a great opportunity for parents, grandparents or anyone caring for a newborn to learn this important lifesaving technique.”
