About The Fetal Center
Established in 2011, The Fetal Center1 at Children’s Memorial Hermann Hospital is a national referral center and an international leader in fetal diagnosis, fetal intervention and comprehensive fetal care for infants with congenital anomalies or genetic abnormalities. In collaboration with pediatric sub-specialists at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth, the affiliated team offers patients a complete range of prenatal testing and fetal interventions with a coordinated program for mother and child before, during and after birth.

Outcomes & Educational Resources
To best serve patients, online educational resources have been developed for referring physicians and patient families. Additionally, The Fetal Center continues to publish patient outcomes data in an effort to help families make informed decisions about their care.
The Fetal Center’s affiliated physicians are actively pursuing in research and development of therapeutic prenatal interventions aimed to improve patient outcomes. Current trials in progress at The Fetal Center cover the scope of prenatal conditions.

When Natalie’s unborn baby daughter, Mila Grace, was diagnosed with spina bifida in utero, Natalie and her husband, Kevin, were stunned. Natalie was referred to The Fetal Center at Children’s Memorial Hermann Hospital, where she underwent maternal-fetal surgery aimed to reduce the risk of complications associated with spina bifida and improve long-term outcomes for Mila Grace.
