The Fetal Center at Children’s Memorial Hermann Hospital, affiliated with the physicians at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth, is a national leader in fetal diagnosis, fetal intervention and comprehensive fetal care for babies with congenital anomalies or genetic abnormalities requiring treatment before or after birth. A national referring center, The Fetal Center offers patients a complete range of prenatal testing and fetal interventions with a coordinated program for mother and child before, during and after birth.

Fetal Conditions

From the initial prenatal consultation through pediatric follow-up visits, physicians affiliated with The Fetal Center work closely with mothers, their families and their referring physicians to provide support, counseling and education along with a high quality care and treatment, providing families with a comfortable, convenient and patient-centered care model. Physicians affiliated with The Fetal Center at Children’s Memorial Hermann Hospital are experts in the field of maternal-fetal medicine, actively pursuing and participating in the research and development of therapeutic prenatal interventions aimed to improve outcomes for both mom and baby. The Fetal Center is a national leader in research studies, being one of only eight national centers to be included in the NICHD Network, and serve as active members of the North American Fetal Therapy Network (NAFTNet), whose primary goal is to promote cooperation and foster research between fetal centers in the US and Canada.
