The Q.care app is an after-hours pediatric urgent care service offering families a free nurse triage line or on-demand house call in the convenience of their home. With just a touch of a button, our experienced nurse practitioners will be at your home to treat, diagnose and prescribe medication if needed.

PediaQ cares for a wide variety of childhood common conditions from birth to 18 years old, including in-home strep and flu tests. Your child will receive a complete history and physical as well as any diagnostic test needed without ever leaving the comfort of your home.

Q.care is currently only available in The Woodlands region and surrounding zip codes: 77373, 77375, 77379, 77380, 77381, 77382, 77384, 77385, 77386, 77388, 77389. Additional markets coming in 2017.

How does Q.care work?

  • Step 1: Request a Q.care practitioner for a nurse triage or a house call
  • Step 2: Once your practitioner accepts your request, they will call you within minutes to discuss your child’s symptoms and conditions
  • Step 3: A nurse practitioner will arrive within an hour of your request to diagnose and treat your child.

How do you use the Q.care app?

Download the free app to your smartphone and create a personal profile that includes personal and family information, including medical histories. Store your credit card information securely on the Q.care app (this card will be used to complete all home call requests)

When your child gets sick, you can log into the app and request contact with a licensed and experienced pediatric nurse practitioner in your geographical area. Within minutes, the pediatric nurse practitioner will respond and you will receive a picture and background information about your practitioner on your app, followed by a free phone consultation.

If a house call is requested, a nurse practitioner will arrive to your home, ready to assess, diagnose, treat, and if needed, prescribe medication for your child.  The nurse practitioner will arrive to your home within one hour of request.

Does PediaQ accept insurance?

The service is covered by most major insurance providers, including Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas, UnitedHealthcare, Aetna and Cigna. Q.care does not accept Medicaid.

As with any other medical visits, your insurance provider will determine services covered by your plan. Q.care will submit a claim to your insurance provider and notify you of any services that were not covered.

Fees that are the responsibility of the user may include copays, deductibles, convenience fee, prescription pickup fee, or other fees that are not reimbursable by your managed care insurance carrier.
