The Children’s Heart Center1 at Children’s Memorial Hermann Hospital – named one of the top 50 best children's hospitals nationally in Cardiology & Heart Surgery by U.S. News & World Report – offers innovative solutions for patients with congenital or acquired heart disease, delivering high-quality outcomes. In collaboration with pediatric sub-specialists at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth, the affiliated team provides comprehensive care for newborns, children and adolescents, with a smooth transition into adult congenital cardiac care.

Children’s Heart Center has earned a distinguished three-star rating from The Society of Thoracic Surgeons (STS) for its patient care and outcomes in congenital heart surgery. The three-star rating, which denotes the highest category of quality, places the Children’s Heart Center among the elite for congenital heart surgery programs in the United States and Canada.

With the Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and a dedicated pediatric Children’s Heart Center Intensive Care Unit (CHC-ICU) at Children’s Memorial Hermann Hospital, critical pediatric heart patients have access to the highest level of specialized care. By utilizing state-of-the-art techniques and services, the Children’s Heart Center strives to offer patients with the most complex problems the greatest opportunity for a normal life

The affiliated physicians evaluate patients at all UT Physicians Pediatric Cardiology Clinics and perform clinical treatments at Children’s Memorial Hermann Hospital.
