Memorial Hermann Healthcare System is committed to providing all
services in full compliance with all applicable laws, regulations and
guidelines, as well as with its own policies and procedures. Memorial
Hermann is particularly sensitive to requirements applicable to federal
and state healthcare programs and the submission of accurate bills for
all services provided. Compliance by vendors, contractors and
consultants conducting business on behalf of Memorial Hermann or in the
Memorial Hermann work environment is important to Memorial Hermann’s
overall compliance efforts.
In accordance with the requirements
of the Deficit Reduction Act of 2005, Memorial Hermann has developed
False Claims Policies. These policies state that Memorial Hermann is
committed to complying with all applicable laws and regulations and
supports the efforts of federal and state authorities in identifying
incidents of fraud and/or abuse and has the necessary procedures in
place to prevent, detect, report and correct incidents of fraud and/or
abuse in accordance with contractual, regulatory and statutory
requirements. As a contractor or agent of Memorial Hermann, you must
comply with the Memorial Hermann False Claims Policies which are modeled
after the state and federal policies.
For your convenience,
links to the two Memorial Hermann False Claims Policies (Liability for
False or Fraudulent Claims and Texas False Claims Act Policy), the
Memorial Hermann Standards of Conduct, and the federal and state
websites are provided below. We assume you will adhere to our policies
and procedures unless we hear from you to the contrary. If you are
unable to comply with these policies, please contact Charles Bumpass,
Chief Compliance Officer at (713) 448-4113, (713) 448-4307 (fax), or Charles.Bumpass@memorialhermann.org.
